Meet The Founder

‍

A young woman with fair skin and brown hair tied in a bun, smiling in front of a white brick wall.

Hi, I’m Laken Foster, founder of VinePath Mentoring, wife, and mother of two. I earned my Bachelor of Social Work from The University of Texas at Arlington in 2012 and bring over a decade of experience in social work, counseling, and education. My career began in family crisis counseling, supporting foster youth and leading groups focused on life skills, personal growth, and behavior development before spending ten years teaching middle and high school students in the DFW area.

Throughout my career, I have been passionate about helping students build confidence, communication skills, professionalism, career readiness, resume writing, interviewing skills, and leadership. As an FCCLA advisor, I grew a program to more than 100 students and guided students in entrepreneurship, public speaking, leadership development, and national-level competitions.

VinePath Mentoring was inspired by both my professional experience and my personal journe a first-generation college student and parent of a child with autism and ADHD. I understand that every student learns differently and deserves individualized support. Rooted in faith and the belief that every child is uniquely created with purpose, my mission is to equip students with practical skills, confidence, and mentorship as they pursue the path God has for their lives.

Laken is by far my favorite teacher, life coach, friend, everything you could ever want for someone on your side! She’s taught me so much, fostered a community everyone could feel safe in, and put more effort into my professional development than I ever did!!

She’s inspired me for so many years and has become like family to me! Others have said she fills a mother like role, and I 100% agree. If I could go back in time and be a student of Laken’s again, I would!! She is the best mentor I could ask for, and if you put in effort and follow her guidance, then she never leave your side. I can’t express how much I recommend her services!!! She is a kind, intelligent, friendly, knowledgeable, and fierce mentor; everyone needs someone like her on their side.

Ms. Foster was an amazing teacher for several classes my daughter took at Wakeland High School. From Hospitality, to Culinary to Child Development, Ms. Foster was always very engaged with the students and had their best interests at heart. She left a lasting impression on my daughter and helped guide her in her future 😍
